STARLINK IN SPACEFLIGHT SIMULATOR

Starlink is a satellite constellation constructed by SpaceX. The constellation will consist of thousands of mass-produced small satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) to serving low-latency data travel to Earth, at 50 km Attitude in Spaceflight Simulator world. Latency is the time it takes to send data from one point to the next. When satellites are far from Earth, latency is high, resulting in poor performance.

Starlink satellites are over 60 times closer to Earth than traditional satellites, resulting in lower latency and the ability to support services typically not possible with traditional satellite internet.

As the world’s leading provider of launch services – and the only provider with an orbital class reusable rocket – SpaceX has deep experience with both spacecraft and on-orbit operations.

In Spaceflight Simulator, the Starlink satellite build with probe and fuel tank with Solar array and ion engine to allow the satellite to perform altitude control, such as orbit raising or de-orbit.

LESS MASS MORE COMPACT


Each satellite weighs is 2.18 ton, features a compact, flat-panel design that minimizes volume, allowing for a dense launch stack to take full advantage of the launch capabilities of SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket.

SEPARATION SYSTEM


Each satellite is equipped with a separator to provide momentum that they need to distance themselves from each other, with small separator which give separation force around 4kN.

SINGULAR SOLAR ARRAY


Starlink satellites feature a single solar array, significantly simplifying build process, single solar array are standardized, and easy to operated during orbiting.

FUEL TANK AND PROBE


Starlink satellites contain fuel tank to store fuel with small additional fuel tank, for on-board ion thruster. Probe used to control the satellites such as use Solar Array and Ion Thruster.

ION THRUSTER


On-board ion boosters are used to perform altitude control, raise orbit, and deorbit. With the high efficiency of the ion thruster, the small fuel tank is sufficient to support all performances.

KEEPING SPACE CLEAN


After starlink meet the end of life, the satellites will utilize their on-board Ion thruster system to perform deorbit over the course of a few months and crash into earth surface.
